This is my first of hopefully many blog posts and I had no idea what to
write about so Jerry told me that I just need to sit down and start
typing. Well here goes nothing.....
So today started off like any usual Tuesday. Got up around 7:30 (which is just early enough to see Jerry before he leaves for work). Packed TONS of toys for Zander to keep him occupied during my bible study. Around 9 Zander and I were off to bible study where there would be lots to look at and lots of people to chatter about how adorable all his "talking" is. After bible study is nap time for Zander so that I can get some chores done (and who am I kidding...take a moment to just sit down). He woke up and we had lunch.
After some more playing it was time for yet another diaper change. I was spending a little too much time (with the diaper off) checking out his sock which had a weird stain on that I couldn't discern what it was. Yup...it happened...he peed everywhere and all over me and himself. Funny thing is it doesn't happen all that often so when it does it sort of startles me when it does. So now that the day is more than half over I decided Zander could hang out in a pair of PJs for the rest of the day. Didn't know this was going to cause such an annoyance.
Being a mom of an almost 10 month old I've already noticed that different clothing brands size their clothes differently. Carters I find is very true to size, Zander wears 9 months in them. Gerber on the other hand is probably the most frustrating. I have a 12 month short sleeve onsie that barely fits him. So I proceeded to try and put an 18 month PJ shirt on him and let me just tell you there is NO way that was going to fit and Zander's not a big kid by an means (like 34th percentile). The shirt would have fit but the arms looked like they would have fit a newborn. So frustrating. So we looked a little more and found something to wear.
Needless to say Zander has 2 pairs of brand new PJs that he won't ever get to wear...thanks Gerber for making clothes not even close to realistic.

This is a great start! Keep it up...I have one but never get to write on it even though I try so hard to get around to it so I'm glad to see that you have the motivation and time to do it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie..I found it super relaxing, not sure how often I will post but it will be nice to have somewhere to have my thoughts..even if people don't agree with me :)
